Tom & May // Northumberland Wedding Photographer
There’s seriously nothing we love more than a super-fun, laid-back, teabeer-themed, home garden tipi wedding in the middle of summer in England!
Tom and May’s wedding was pretty unique as it took place over two separate countries (England and Scotland) connected by the chain bridge over the Tweed River.
It’s possible to get married anywhere in Scotland but due to restrictions with getting tying the knot outdoors in England, Tom and May walked 1 minute across the chain bridge from England to Scottish territory and held their humanist ceremony under a tree next to the Tweed River. After their moving ceremony they walked back over the bridge to join their friends and loved ones for their reception at their family home right on the English border in Northumberland.
And it wouldn’t be a summer’s day here in the UK without a bit of rain and dark sky but that didn’t stop everyone from partying and dancing hard into the evening!
We really enjoyed getting to know Tom and May over the last year (they’re seriously two of the coolest people we’ve met) and to be honest its one of those experiences we’re kind of sad is over but we wish these guys all the very best and look forward to meeting up for a teabeer or two soon.
Absolutely stunning. Felt like I was right there with them in those moments.
