Romantic Scottish Elopement // Merve & Nils
Today we wanted to share a wee romantic Scottish elopement from the Isle of Skye.
What do you do when you have gale force winds and pouring rain on your Scottish elopement day? You embrace it… and that’s exactly what this brave couple did! Merve and Nils (two amazing photographers from Germany) eloped in Scotland in August and experienced everything first hand that Scotland had to offer… and that included relentless rain and wind!
We travel to Skye and the Scottish highlands regularly for elopements and weddings but never have we experienced a day such as this. From morning to night the rain hammered down but these guys weren’t going to let it get in the way. Visibility was low, winds were high and the rain was sideways but that didn’t matter.
After a morning getting ready together they hiked almost 1 hour uphill without turning back to say their ‘I do’s’ and we have nothing but admiration for this brave, sweet and adventurous couple.
We have to admit that we didn’t spend too long out there afterwards as we all raced back down to the car 🙂
