San Francisco Wedding Photographer

Oh boy, where to begin with this sweet San Francisco wedding that we photographed back in June…

San Francisco (along with so many other cities it the US) had been one those places that we’ve always dreamed of visiting so to be invited to photograph a wedding there was literally a dream-come-true for us. We’d both never set foot in the United States before and for so many years we’d viewed American culture through movies, television and books so to be able to immerse ourselves for the first time in this country was an exciting experience for us both.

San Francisco was everything we thought it would be plus so much more and to be able to document the wedding of two very incredible people smack-bang in the centre of this wonderful city was the icing on the cake.

Brittany & Sam (both amazing photographers originating from Canada and Texas) also both share a mutual love for this city and decided early on that this would be the place to have their small wedding… kind of a halfway point.

Their super-chill morning began with their hugely adorable dog Hobbit on a cosy houseboat at the Sausalito Yacht Harbour and then it was on to Mount Tamalpais National Park for some last minute prep and essential ‘first dance’ practice before everyone arrived. After a moving ceremony in the woods we jumped on an old converted school bus and headed back towards the city over the iconic Golden Gate bridge.

A laid-back evening rolled on at The Stable Café in the Mission District followed by a walk at Bernal Heights to watch the city come to life at dusk.

We just want to finish off by saying a big ‘thank you’ to Brittany & Sam for just being such genuine and wonderful people and including us on what was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had.

We cannot wait to return next year… this time New York and Alaska!
