French Countryside Wedding // Jess & Lucas

Now that 2017 has kicked off we thought we’d getting cracking with some new stories on the blog as well as our end of year retrospective which is coming soon.  Back in September we had the pleasure of travelling to France to document the insanely beautiful Chateau Serans French countryside wedding of Jess and Lucas and what a beaut of a day it was!

The last time we were in France it was for a beautiful wedding in Normandy so we’re really stoked to be able to return!

Jess (an uber-talented Aussie, Paris-based makeup artist) and Lucas met while in Australia and earlier this year moved to Paris with their adorable dog Bruce to begin their new life together. They decided that Chaumont-En-Vexin (Lucas’ childhood family vacation hangout) would be the place where their wedding day would be held!

After their moving ceremony at the grand Jean Baptiste Eglise Church and a drive around the countryside in a vintage car, a chilled out reception kicked off at Chateau Serans and in typical French-Aussie style the dance floor bounced into the early hours of the morning!

One thing we love about Lucas and Jess’ Chateau Serans wedding is how timeless and romantic it was… it could have been set 40 years ago or today.

It was a pleasure getting to know these two lovely human beings and document their French Countryside Wedding and I have to admit that it was nice to hear so many familiar Aussie accents too! πŸ˜‰

Our 2016 retrospective coming up next!
