Where to begin?
I’ve been following and admiring Fran and Dave’s incredible work (Franmart) for many years so to be asked to capture their Glencoe elopement videography was truly an honour and an unforgettable experience.
After chatting online for a while they invited me to their home down in the Scottish Borders and we spent an afternoon talking over coffee and exploring the surrounding hills of the countryside (with their beautiful dog, James). I learned about their story, how they met, their ambitions for the future and the life they had created together in Scotland.
After spending time together in the Scottish Borders we all agreed that their home and the countryside that surrounded it would be the most meaningful place to create their elopement video story.
We began their elopement story at sunrise and spent the morning filming some moments inside and outside their home in the Scottish Borders.
The Scottish Highlands hold a very special place in Dave and Fran’s heart so an adventure at Loch Awe and Glen Etive followed. Finally, after everything we had experienced, Dave and Fran ended their story with an emotional and heartfelt ceremony just before dusk right in the heart of Glencoe at the top of a windy mountain.
Hearing their vows and how much they were in love with one another it was so hard not to tear up.
Making this video for Dave and Fran was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my career and I hope you can watch it to the end and enjoy their story too.
